A South Side Original
Pedro Diaz—known to the culture as Sire Sinsai—was more than an MC. He was a co-founder, a builder, a producer, and the standard for what Verbally Diseased stands for: discipline, originality, and love for the craft. Born in 1973 and taken from us in May 2003, Sire left a blueprint that still guides our sound and our spirit.
A family man first, PD married Pedita Diaz and is the proud father of Myiel and Meauni. The same devotion he gave his family fueled the relentless work ethic he brought to the mic and the boards.
The Pen, the Breath, the Beat
Sire's range was wide and fearless—from conscious rap to classic hip-hop to gangster rap, always rooted in truth. As a producer, he stitched grit and melody into tracks that felt like Chicago streets at night: honest, sharp, alive. He was always creating—bars, hooks, drum patterns, new flows—staying a step ahead without ever chasing trends.
He studied himself like game tape. He listened to his own recordings daily, sharpening delivery, rhythm, and breath control until every syllable sat exactly where it belonged.
“Bring a case of beer and you’ll leave with a record.”
— Studio folklore about Sire’s unstoppable work rate
D.V.S: Steel Sharpens Steel
With Ravaughn “RaBiez” Taylor, Sire Sinsai formed Definite Vacation 4 Suckaz—a duo built on iron sharpening iron. Their chemistry was competition and brotherhood at once: one pushed, the other answered, and the music leveled up. Sire’s passing hurt RaBiez deeply, but his partner keeps Sire Sinsai’s spirit alive—bar for bar, beat for beat—through the music.
The Loss—and the Legacy
To family, friends, rap partners, and fans, Sire’s departure was too soon. But the work he left behind won’t fade. It lives in the catalog, in the crews he mentored, and in every artist who caught the hunger from watching him build.
Beginning in 2026 (and every year beyond), we’ll celebrate his birthday—June 27th—as “Happy PD Day.” We’ll honor his life with releases, stories, photos, and the kind of studio sessions he loved: spontaneous, competitive, and all heart.
